Plain oatmeal is just better since it doesn't have all the sugary stuff like in the flavored crap. You can always add a small amount of fruit if you need to flavor it. Cold showers I can partly agree with, except I know a few people who have an issue with hot water completely drying out their skin and scalps. I only do it near the end by slowly lowering the temp per minute because I think it helps me mentally.
