Because we live in a country that increasingly shows disdain for women. A woman pregnant with a fetus that doesn't have any shot of surviving outside the womb had better hope she lives in a left-leaning state that still offers some support for women in that position or their health is very much at stake.
Also there's the financial impact of being pregnant. You're going to find it difficult to do your job when you're 6 months pregnant and plenty of employers will absolutely financially fuck you on maternity leave because how are you going to fight it? Even if you get maternity leave, you're going to find the few months of leave not nearly enough because children aren't fully grown and self-sufficient after a few months.
Giving birth is a crazy dangerous thing for a person to do. Hemorrhaging is a serious concern and even ignoring the toll on the mother, the infant mortality rate in the US is embarrassingly high especially in poorer areas.

first time around she was grumpy, it was more frustration because her balance was way off and she felt like a whale and being pregnant made everything more difficult for her
