the modern church is such a fucking meme lol. They literally had to bend the word of god to accept gay people just so they weren't eradicated.
Holy fuck... if he said that, maybe he is enlightened.
the modern church is such a fucking meme lol
heretic
if you're ok with gay people existing then you've either never read the bible or don't believe in it.
if you're ok with gay people existing then you've either never read the bible or don't believe in it.
why are you arguing like a semite?
Heretic is being against God's word, not a man made institution
look at who appointed most of the cardinals, almost all of them including this guy by the last pope, Francis. You'd be a fool to think we were getting a conservative pope after that. I expect him to be a moderate consolidating pope before the next one is a far leftie again.
I don't understand how this isn't clear
the bible explicitly condemns homosexuality on multiple occasions
if you support homosexuality you either disagree with the bible or havent read it
pretty simple
The pope holds supremacy moshe
no man shall be held above the lord or his works
no man shall be held above the lord or his works
post nose
the old testament condemns homosexuality along with a lot of other things. Have you kept kosher, the sabbath and other OT laws? I didn't think so, so don't be throwing stones about homosexuality.
move these retards from europe to africa lmao
I don't believe in the bible, but if you say you do and then go on to ignore that shit you're a hypocrite.
Of course you don't believe in the bible but the torah and talmud instead
I'm fucking atheist dude. It's just hilarious how modern christians don't even read their holy book let alone believe in it.
unironically based
Imagine calling this reddit lmao. The anti woke crowd are the most reddit group of neckbeards in existence. Kill yourself.
if you dont agree with open borders and sodomy you are jewish
just trad cath larper things LMAO
go back xgoogleplex
unironically how can you be anti gay and browse Anon Babble, one of the gayest places on the internet
again i need to see your nose
tradcath spics would condemn that tho
this isn't Anon Babble bub, but again I'M not the one who should be obeying the bible
The NT does too:
1 Corinthians 6:9-10
My prediction is that Christianity will become largely irrelevant before the turn of the century.
Increasing amounts of people do not believe in this horseshit. Moreover, if you actually learn history, you'll learn repeatedly that Christianity bent its own rules constantly in order to appease local cultures.
Christianity therefore was vastly different based off each geographical region. Would it shock you to know that Odin was a part of early Norse Christianity? Lol.
And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.
The only growing part of any church is the conservative wing, ironically. Corruption is so totalized these days.
That's the good thing about Christianity: Jesus was the final lamb/sin offering to cleanse our sings. Still doesn't negate that homosexuality is a sin though. We're still expected to not commit sin.
Why though, he took the bullet for us, also show us your desk folder right now.
cant wait until he declares that nobody is illegal on stolen land. truly inspiring stuff
It's really crazy how american "christians" think they know better than everyone else. It would be a good case study for dunning kruger effects.
I don't use a desktop.
I saw a TikTok edit with that masked guy raising his hand, Christianity has so much aura and swag, I converted instantly.
Wanting to alleviate the suffering of others should be the default state of people, and it should be considered holy to genuinely pursue it.
Don't forget though that the Catholic church is first and foremost a political power structure. He will not do anything truly sacrificial to alleviate that suffering, and he knows that. He will just pay lip service to the concept and occasionally ask country X to stop bombing the shit out of Y group. I think he believes it genuinely, but he will not take a path like Christ, the embodiment of sacrificial love, and the best moral model for a person to emulate. It's a very difficult thing in practice, obviously, but the irony of the popes pronouncements and the relative wealth they live in is impossible to not consider opportunistic idolatry.
do you think you could explain what makes something a sin?
idolatry.
That is how most christianity is. Most of them bow down to the cross as a graven image, not a symbol.
nta, but isn't it literally just anything that's condemned in the bible?
A sin is going against God's laws and will. If he commands that you do not steal from someone, yet you steal from someone, it's a sin. If he forbids homosexual relations, then it is a sin. The last time I read the bible (and I'll recant if someone can point to me the verse), it does not forbid homosexuality in general: it forbids the actual act of homosexuality (e.g. man laying with a man.)
He's not wrong. And it meshes with catholic tradition. Growing up we were literally told being a social justice warrior is a good thing. Needless to say I was not pleased when I grew up and found out that most people were brainwashed to be high functioning sociopaths
with catholic tradition
Good meme. Communists literally murder Christians.
Communists
Watch out anon they are in your walls and and watch out from protestant they might kill you too, it's in their blood
Even though the stats say that less people are Christian right now, I have a heavily conservative friend that believes that its ok the rise with the zoomer populations, I wonder how the faith will adapt in 30-40 years when less people are donating
immediately recoils
Fucking kek. I'm talking about communist regimes, you red bastard.
The pope is essentially the CEO of a global business. He doesn't give a flighty fuck about starving Bunga Bungas. He has to figure out how to pay upkeep on his golden mansion covered in priceless paintings from 1473, and make sure all the bishops, oathbreakers, and high templars get their paychecks. All while maintaining relevance in modern times with his 1500 year old make-believe imaginary friends.
people in favor of proletariat control of government attack the system of lies that propagated the divine rule of Kings for 1000 years
Yes.
My prediction is that Christianity will become largely irrelevant before the turn of the century

Matthew 5:28 can be interpreted as such. Sinful thoughts are like committing them sin themselves.
You realize that atheism won, right?
Those fedora-tippers disappeared because they literally won incredibly hard, and had no one left to fight. Churches cuck constantly to secularist principles just to stay remotely relevant.
Atheism is kind of the default. People don't think about religion in the US.
I'm not even religious, you just have to be incredible retarded to think that christianity will be irrelevant in 80 years. Though I agree that the church is cucked and bend God's words to appease the "modern audience"
Okay, I'll give you that it is a very valid point. The verse cited is actually about adultry specifically, but I can see how it can be extended to any sinful thoughts. I think it could mean though that thoughts can lead to actual sin. However, the wording in itself can easily lead to someone thinking what you did.
I recant my statement.
I hear redditors say this a lot. I used to use this argument as well, but in the OT for example homosexuality is included in the MORAL laws section (e.g., murder, incest, theft) whereas things like consumption of "creeping things" or wearing mixed cloths is in the RITUAL laws (i.e., they are not moral, they are given to the Israelites to set themselves apart from gentiles).
This isn't ambiguous either, and can be directly read.
Atheism is kind of the default.
That's why atheists are called reddit atheists, because you guys are terminally online. Go around asking people on the street if they believe in God and most would say yes, unless you live in some gay city
leader of the followers of christ acts like christ
"why would the wokes do this"
:^)
most Americans are Protestant
Based. Catholics are heretics and most know it.
Christianity is irrelevant to anyone under 40 (outside of extremely rural communities) right now. Name all the businesses that close on Sunday. How many crucifixes do you see in corporate imagery? How many zoomers pray in school?
The only churches that still have any relevance today are basically just big malls that sell you Jesus paraphernalia. Capitalism overtook religion in the last 50 years and keeps it on life support to milk some old fucks out of their pensions.
Most people are vaguely religious, meaning most of the time they dont think about it until hardships come, also, why does the pope never visit the American ghetto, it would a great way to increase American believers
barely anyone goes go to church these days, and it will only get more barren. The only thing that will sustain christianity for the next century are africans, if they don't get wiped out by islam.
That's why atheists are called reddit atheists, because you guys are terminally online
says the terminally online christard
There are no distinctions made of Yahweh's laws in the Tanakh, you made that up. The laws of Moses (Moishe) are the law. A law is a law, follow it or be stoned to death. So sayeth the stormbringer.
I certainly hope you don't eat shellfish or pork. Or have tattoos. Or have anything that could be considered an idol. Or shave your beard. Or be nice to your slaves. Or do anything at all on Saturday (actual Sabbath).
Jesus said I don't have to do those things.
Did he?
Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven -Jesus H. Christ
Source? Why didn't anybody ask this in the entire thread and took it as gospel?
Makes sense, Jesus was a social justice warrior in his own right (inb4 nuh-uh).
Africa will 100% see mass starvation the moment western aid is cutoff, and that's coming at some point in the next 100 years.
Welcome to Islam brother
the church is one of the largest aid groups to Africa, they know where the customer base is at.
Now show the stats for people under age 40, aka real people not crypt keeper retirees.
It's become more a vague moral/fashion thing to be "Christian", if things are similar enough to today in 80 years to be comparable. I think very few people believe this. In name, Christianity will be around for a long time, but in cultural and subconscious practice, it will continue to fade.
No I didn't. You have no idea what you're talking about. The distinction between ceremonial laws and moral laws exists in both Christianity and judaism, and is referred to both in the OT and NT. There isn't even any point to arguing with a graduate of the "university of reddit top comment" because you're so hopelessly ignorant.
But here:
The Biblical name for ceremonies appears to be "edut" ("testimonies," Deut. iv. 45; vi. 17, 20; see Nahmanides on the last passage), in distinction to "mishpatim" ("judgments," "ordinances," Ex. xxi. 1, and elsewhere); while the term "hukkim" ("statutes") is applied to both moral and ceremonial laws (Ex. xii. 14, 43; Lev. xviii. 4, and elsewhere). The Rabbis distinguish between mishpatim, moral laws--which are dictated by reason and common sense, such as laws concerning justice, incestuous marriages, and the like--and hukkim, those divine statutes to which the "Yezer ha-Ra'" (the evil inclination) and the heathen object, such as the prohibition of pork or of wearing garments woven of wool and linen (Sifra, Ahare Mot, xiii. on Lev. xviii. 5; Yoma 67b).
Jewish Encyclopedia
I don't say this as a post-hoc rationalization. The theology and exegesis on the ritual vs. moral distinction is very clear, and it is referred to in the new testament. I am not going ro spoonfeed every single theological doctrine to a retarded tranny though, please pick up a book and inform yourself.
I am literally an atheist that educated himself to understand religion. That's it. Use real arguments or none at all, because you come off as a 75IQ retard.
how can one be anti thing despite partaking in that thing
To recognize the problems brought about by something does not negate enjoying it. That would be like saying someone who enjoys gambling cannot think that gambling is bad for them or anyone in their surrounding life. Or that someone who enjoys candy could not imagine that eating too much is bad for them. Or that someone who partakes in (insert any hobby here, eg. vidya) cannot imagine that it might be a poor use of their time.
Also if you're so inclined.
Out of generosity and goodwill I will render an example of the textual justification of this, and how your quote is out of context:
Matthew 12:1-2: At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn and to eat.
But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.
This chapter in the NT demonstrates the NT doctrine of the abolishment of the ritual laws as compulsory--the rituals are meant to serve man, not the other way around. They can be broken. This is expounded on in part of St. Paul's doctrine later on, and in the event where Peter is instructed to eat creeping things of the earth by Goe. The moral laws remain in effect, unrepealed. I can go on, but it really doesn't matter much when you go in with the sole intent of arguing on topics you are ignorant of. Going further would be an exercise in futility because you literally have no knowledge at all besides reddit top comments.

Suffering is inherent to life. There is no escaping it.
Of course they promote globalist agenda that manifests itself as promoting "woke" nowadays. Popes openly worship demons too. Picrel.
A law is a law, follow it or be stoned to death.
I will also further add that this is strictly false. Go read the laws and see that the punishments differ. Some punishments are as simple as not being able to enter the congregation until purifying yourself.
This and the other examples of your lack of knowledge are enough to de facto refute your post. Nothing else is required further than pointing out simple contradictions, with the additional information here
being supplemental for your understanding.
Being a little wrong in some respects is fine, but you are strictly wrong with essentially every statement.
