8-hour shifts are insufferable

I don't even engage with any of my favorite hobbies for 8 hours straight. There is literally not a single thing on earth I would feel okay about doing for eight hours a day, every day, for multiple decades. Death genuinely sounds preferable.

Do you work, anon? What do you do and do you like it? If you don't work then how are you affording life?

you're just a lazy person, everyone has to work to survive so just stop whining

No shit, that's why I'm asking what other people are doing, anon.

I dont even engage with any of my favorite hobbies for 8 hours straight

You're fucking kidding right? You can't even go 10 minutes without having a fucking thought about your favorite hobby? It's not possible

I work 10 hour shifts but only for 2 or 3 days
its hell but I prefer the longer time off

I have no idea what point you're trying to make but I think you misread. I said that I DON'T engage with any one activity for 8 hours straight, even the ones that bring me joy in my free time

I guess that might be easier if you end up with more full days not at work. Those 10 hours shifts do sound like hell though, not sure if I would be capable of doing that unless it was like a security job where most of the time is just doing other things while waiting for something to happen

That's cute snowflake. I just clocked 16 hours at the ball crushing factory today.

Im a neet going on a year, dread the thought of going back to that soul draining hamster wheel. Gunna have to get a job eventually, hopefully part time at most

You have to find a way to upskill or get a lazy job. Most rich people barely work an hour a day and have the money to pay for annoying daily chores to be taken care of. So that's the goal.

tb fair I work in an assembly line that moves slow
so I do my bery easy simple tasks then play on my phone
I draw this at work over the course of 2 days

I once worked 6 months of 12+ hour shifts of back breaking work for free. It was valuable experience but noone will ever give me that time back. If I got even minimum wage for it I'd be happy

Yeah, it's absolute bullshit that people still have to work this long per day. Especially with technology and the acceleration of outsourcing to slaves.
We should have had UBI and Keynes' 15 hour work week already. Instead, global slavery is being imposed upon the world.
Deliberate understaffing too, despite growing redundancy and unemployment. To 'compete' with insect people slaves is to become slaves.
Yet NEETs are still demonized, even if it's actually a benefit that we're not 'in the way', and they want a cheap insect slave to do it anyway.

Do you work, anon?

Fuck, no. One year out of 20 has been enough.

What do you do and do you like it?

I NEET and I enjoy it far more than sperging out every day as a wagie.
The inceldom sucks though; even if I'd still be incel as a wagie anyway.

If you don't work then how are you affording life?

I'm not in burgerland, so 'bux.
Given how fucked over we are for the Red Chinese, all Westerners deserve UBI and the option of working or not working. Fuck this shit.

Do you pull 16 hour shifts of crushing balls or getting your balls crushed?
I feel that, anon. Who knows, maybe society will collapse soon and the corporate machine won't matter anymore
See I had a lazy job not too long ago but it came with its own issues. It was an IT job but they never gave me any work even when I asked for some (they would give me like a 5 minute task), so I never had anything to do. Of course since it was a stupid open office plan I couldn't goof off on the internet either because everybody could see my screen at all times. I ended up leaving after 2 months because I just felt like I was in time out or something every day.

Worked 9 hours for 3 days a week for 3 years at a warehouse and I wanted to kill myself the whole time, sometimes it went up to 10.

Yeah the time away is nice but those days start to feel shorter and shorter and you can never fully enjoy them because you know you have to go back to the cage.

Anything over 6 hours a day should be illegal.

That sounds more tolerable if you have a bit of a free time while on the clock too. Do they let you wear headphones or do they consider that a safety concern? Awesome wyvern design! The animation is so cozy feeling too

the perfect neet job is trucking. if you bring a gaming laptop its literally like being in your room all day.

My boss directly told me, you know you can have earbuds
I would get them but actually I spent my money on other shit so I need to save up lol

I agree, 8 hour jobs being the default is literally a scam. It's incompatible with human nature, complete slavery to spend that much time working. The only way it could be bearable is if you could confide in and bond with your coworkers positively while doing it but you have to be super lucky for that.
The only people who defend that shift are people who don't actually WORK for all of the 8 hours that they are on clock for, so they're getting paid to do nothing for some of that.
Like, just ask this guy what he actually does for the 8 hours of his work day, he'd never answer truthfully. Just keep insulting and shaming you for laziness that you never showed. "Accuse others what you are guilty of," as they say

There is literally not a single thing on earth I would feel okay about doing for eight hours a day, every day, for multiple decades

Not me, I can play videogames or binge shows or watch movies or shitpost all day. Back when I socialized, I liked to socialize for long stretches of time as well. If I like doing something for 45 minutes, I'll probably enjoy it for 8 hours as well.

Do you work, anon? What do you do and do you like it?

Yes, I used to hate it but it got more comfortable over time with switching to WfH and various work circumstances switching. I don't love it but I'm okay with doing it in order to have a little bit of money (though not enough for any dreams to come true).

I tried working 10 hours 4 times a week at a job I was getting sick of, in hopes of it somehow helping. not only did it makee it even worse because I had less time to sleep between days, the dread of going back became even stronger which outweighed any benefit of being off another day. I couldn't do anything besides work.
I simply had to put in my 2 weeks notice at that point

yeah thats basically the point of going to college you go just to get a bullshit job where you do 3 hours of actual work if that then over charge for it in other words take a bigger paycut than all the people who have to actually do all the real work ie your immigrant slaves since you already fired all the americans and they all became homeless fentanyl addicts

Funny. Maybe if people told me that going to college would result in me getting a lazy job instead of a "good job" I would've been inclined to pursue higher education. Having a "good job" makes you sound like you work harder than an unskilled worker. What a fucking lie that turned out to be

yeah you basically didn't "network" (kiss ass with a fake personality) hard enough so some finance bro could just lay a bullshit job in your lap. probably fell for the learn 2 code meme just in time for finance bros to stab you in the back and give your job to pajeets and AI

I didn't even try learning to code. I just thought

gee all these people who work in professional fields like finance, technology and all that big business stuff must feel the crushing weight of their responsibilities constantly

I'll just master a simple, easy job that won't demand too much from me, and then I'll be set for life!

lol. lmao even. I can only laugh realizing how hard I got played. I was born and raised in an upscale area, but my asshole father raised by a single mom absolutely obliterated my confidence in doing anything besides the bare minimum growing up and so this is how I turned out.
HAHAHAHAHA

I'm at work? I get to think of LORE

I'm thinking of my LORE WHILE I WORK

I got SO MUCH LORE YOU WOULDNT BELIEVE

HALELUJAH five minutes downtime? TIME TO THINK OF LORE

LORE!

This shitpost has been peer-reviewed by Shitposters Anonymous.

LORE!

IM GONNA MAKE A GAME WITH ALL THIS LOORE and then I'm gonna DOWN MYSELF in the sea of unused LORE that I have left OVER!

file.png - 596x690, 82.48K

I got to think of a lot of "lore" too. Doesn't mean that I got to write down any of it

are you able to save money or are you just living check to check

lazy jobs

There were times I worked at restoring mosaics, doors and windows. Time at this work flew. It's the type of work you get fulfillment at every step and are looking forward to completing your task, but also tasks take quite a bit of time. I was literally addicted to scraping the paint off I'd do it without stops for 10 hours and my fingers were fucking falling off and I loved it.

Currently I find myself working as an admin in some office at 90% of the time I just scroll shit online and I'm absolutely miserable and hate my life. I only work 4 hours too, but they feel like eating away my whole life. It's fucking prison. I have never felt so fucking retarded in my life.

I have money saved. What should I use it for.
I don't want to go to college anyway because I'm afraid in the end it wouldn't help me reach success anyway so I would have wasted all the time and money it takes to go there for nothing.

Well hey at least you didn't do data entry where you have to work constantly on an ENDLESS STREAM OF INCOMING WORK for the entire 8 hours like me. I was legit having thoughts that would get me sent straight to the looney bin having to stare at that screen while everyone else had people to talk to and things to discuss. Not even being able to check my phone or something because of the information being confidential.
You have it alright anon, even if you hate the solitude, you're piling in dough as a reward for staying.

Cont.
I quit that data entry job for clarification and have been a neet since

I more so meant to say that being lazy doesn't feel good. It's still a job I hate, I hate that it wastes my time on earth when I could be outside rollerskating and whatnot. It's not the ease or anything that made the job that was great, great. It was the feeling that my work matters, is understood by everyone and is visible and tangible. It was hard and there was a constant stream of things to do but I was happy.

just save until you have enough to put it in a high yield savings account or cd (need like a hundred thousand for it to be decent) or buy property somewhere and rent it out with an out of state property manager (50 dollars a month) and move to a low cost of living area. thats what im doing but im waiting for boomers to all collectively die so housing prices can come down to pre 2020 levels (60k-90k) which will take roughly 20 years but we'll have UBI by then anyway

I can kind of get that feel I guess, I had a unfortunately temp job with a lot of downtime and wanting to see and feel the impact of your work and how it benefits other humans makes sense. You need a better connection to the world.
Gotta find a friend or a group of them to spend your free time with, online even. That'll help you out I think.

but my point is while we're all talking shit about working 8 hours the biggest thing is MAKE SURE YOU ARE SAVING MONEY by any means necessary even if you have to sleep in your car or have roommates or whatever. absolutely do not under any circumstances live check to check

I have zero confidence, you telling me to invest a lot in property straight up feels like gambling except even worse since at least you go into gambling expecting to lose all your money

just keep saving. a rental can pull you 1300 a month with no work at all using a property manager (50 dollars a month). but theres nothing wrong with just saving and throwing it in a high yield savings account. i wouldn't buy a house right now either since i know prices will come down later. but just keep saving money. as long as you're saving money you are getting stronger and you're life is getting better.

I'm the charge nurse at a small 70 bed facility. Overwhelming majority of staff is female. It's unpleasant. Women do not belong in healthcare. It goes against everything they a biologically predisposed too. A female can't be a, good doctor, nurse, or aide. They only seem to live for pettiness, fighting, arguments, discord, and hatred. I hate working, but any job I take on I take it on seriously and with intent to fulfill what is expected from me in the financial transaction. A female is incapable of taking this approach. Females only know strife and hatred. They argue, shirk, and act with malice to hurt those around them whether coworker or patient.

I'm at work right now. My hours are 6am to 3 to 4pm. I work in landscaping, I trim hedges for around 5 of those 9 hours.

what do you like about it

I like being physically active, I like being in the sun and I like the smell of cut plant material. I like it when people who live in the 800 or so houses I (and one other mostly) trim come out and give me a compliment.

I don't even engage with any of my favorite hobbies for 8 hours straight

Unfortunate. Anything I enjoy I can easily pass the entire away doing.

I have a female coworker that asked to go home an hour and a half early because she "had to do laundry". No joke. All she does on the clock is stand behind the register scrolling her phone anyway

Whats the point in surviving in this shitass world?

it sounds to me like your playing on the laptop while driving. You wouldn't do that, would you???

Big trucks basically drive themselves

You are complaining about 8? Try 12 three times a week. I just got home and I'm eating right now before going to bed since I got my third 12hr tonight, then 2 eight hours.

t. Healthcarefag

i drive uber and have a 2 in 1 break away laptop and a tablet mount that i leave on while driving which i watch in traffic and at red lights. its basically like leaving your tv on while you do something else. feels exactly the same. thats basically how i got the idea to do trucking. it would feel exactly like sitting in my room with my tv on.
