Yes but no. It's everything to do with the internet that's causing this. We created something infinitely entertaining and now people can distract themselves until they die. People used to get bored. And when they got bored they went out, and they met people, and they had sex. A lot of kids are the products of two people who were just bored and thought having a kid would be a good way to fill the time. But now we have the internet. Everyone wants to blame it on video games, or maybe cost of living, instead of admitting we're all addicted to the infinite dopamine machine and that people would rather choose it over real life.
These days when you go out there's ugly smelly brown people walking around. It's fairly unpleasant so most people choose to just stay home.
I've noticed that many species of animals have pretty chill lives until the reproductive instinct kicks in and they start doing inexplicable bullshit. Take the famous example of salmon, which literally climbs to exhaustion, just to nut and die, while it could've continued having a chill life where it lived.

I don't play games. The only reason I moderately keep up with it is to socialize, which is why men play it. The effects of social media/online dating on people's willingness to have sex is a thing, and there's certainly more miserable incels these days, but I would say even this isn't the main issue, since even people in relationships are avoiding reproducing.
No, the core issue is that we live in an actively anti-natal culture and have for about 35-40 years. This has to do with the neo-malthusian kick that got started in the 70s and influenced a large number of people who are now at the tail end of being in power who basically engineered all of this starting from about the 1970s or 1980s.
But for real, you grew up going to a school system that taught you that having kids would ruin your lives, that people who get pregnant young are trailer trash that never gets to go to college and has to do hard labour to eke out a miserable subsistence life. Girls are shown what amounts to body horror presentations on pregnancy to make it look like the worst thing that can happen to a person. Kids are shackled to unrealistically annoying simulator babies in order to instill in them that children themselves are annoying and not worth having.
