Would u wanna work in a factory or a office job

Factory. I hate the kind of obnoxious cunts you find in offices.

That's for the skilled indians, off to the sweatshop with you

America is donezo

If it's not too hard and I get at least 50k sure

if I could live comfortably by working in a factory I would. I like monatonous and tedious things.

Don't worry
Uncle Donny is going to repeal child labor laws so that they get sent to the mines instead
Americas back baby

beep beep twitter screencap thread on a board for originality

Factory job. I have tiny, soft, feminine hands from working an office job for 7 years and it's my biggest insecurity. I know women notice and I know men judge me when I shake their hand

I work in a distribution warehouse. Being good at my job is equally equated to the degree you can embody a dehumanized robot.

I actually don't mind it. I'm also very good at reach truck driving and also very antisocial. So I go to work, clock in, don't have to speak to a single person all day, just wage wage wage my forklift around, then go home. Nobody hassles me nobody talks to me nobody even tells me what to do. The only issue is it's a stressful job because you have to be very focused all day, you're in constant motion plus my neck hurts from looking up all day. But other than that it's good. Oh and also I get drug tested which is a severe negative but I gave the system by just taking drugs that don't show up on their pathetic 5 panel piss test.

I don't know why more robots don't work as forklift wagies. It's the perfect job for us.

Can't handle the bantz and high hours/physical toll blue collar work entails. Some retard with an 80 IQ and 3 baby mommas will bully us just like in HS.

Long haul trucking was a far better alternative for me to most closely emulate the neet lifestyle while still making a wage.

The idea that Americans don't want to work is slanderous propaganda promoted by the jewish media to try and shame us into accepting unlimited economic migration, unlimited offshoring, and destruction of worker's rights and compensation

Where did this retarded assumption come from that bringing manufacturing back to america somehow takes away from our capability to do "more advanced work"? Americans were putting food on the table and buying well-built houses off of manufacturing wages while NASA was being the first to put a man on the moon. Now we have a luxurious "service economy" where nobody can afford to do shit working as delivery drivers, getting exploited as customer service workers, and going into untold debt just to try and get a degree so you don't have to work in the pits of hell. But, hey, we got those chink kids to make us our cheap crap and iphones at least!!! And don't forget to thank an illegal alien while he's raping your daughter and stabbing your son, for building your cardboard home and picking your GMO produce!! Oh, and the "good" jobs you went into debt for because you thought they were safe from offshoring? Yeah, that entire department is getting laid off so an indian that doesn't know shit can do it twenty times cheaper. Don't worry, we'll just expect our white employees to work twice as hard to make up for them. And hey, I know we promised that all of this was so that the US could be the most advanced in tech, even though we were already the best without doing all that, but now every successful company will just be inundated with woke bullshit and have every corner cut, every faithful employee screwed over, every loyal customer scammed so that the shareholders can wring out as much profit as they can before jumping ship and nobody makes anything actually new or advanced anymore. Whoops! But remember: Evil pro-tariff republicans only care about billionaires. So think of all the poor souls in private equity and their stock portfolios, and vote blue next time!

I'm not capable of working safely in a factory.

Sorry kiddo you just have to pull yourself up by your bootstraps and pay 90% of your paycheck for a broom closet apartment in a shitty part of town
That's the American dream can't you feel it?

Service

Selling social and/or creative energy and dignity for your employer's profit

Labor

Selling bodily integrity for your employer's profit

Labor is less demeaning.

40 years of manual labor will ruin your body while 40 years of intellectual labor won't.

Whichever pays more

Applied to 200 minimum wage job, got 0, I have $5 in the bank account. Living with 4 people in the same moldy room and bathroom ceiling falling off.

By the time you're 60, your body should be destroyed

get paid $24/hr to stare at a machine for 10 hours, pushing materials 10ft across the rollers from the previous machine to load it every 2 hours and pressing start button. best job of my life so far, miss it.

I work on a fucking farm for less than minimum wage. A factory job would be so much better.

These morons think that factory work here in America is like it was one hundred years ago.

if we want to competitive with the third world it will have to be. Elon will gut OHSA and the EPA and say hello to 14 hour shifts.

Why would we want to compete with the third world. Why cant these international companies just move back here and pay us more than 20 rupees an hour.

they must provide all possible value to the shareholder, no exceptions.

Nooooooooooo we need gommunism now mister trump. Close the borders and plan our economuuuuu

I yearn for the mines

noooo those rust belters with an IQ of 89 should suck up gov handouts and sit around doing nothing in school

fuck off

iq poster

Heyhey calm down before you get racist in here. I said put the iq posting down.

I agree those 8 year olds need to pull themselves up by their bootstraps and die of black lung in their thirties.

while i'd like to be sure america has infrastructure in place to be able to produce anything ourselves if we absolutely had to, why force it if you don't absolutely have to? who wants to live near a factory spewing toxic bullshit into your neighborhood? "service economy" is pretty gay too, but better than breaking your back doing equally shit work

Do you want China rekt webms to become America rekt webms?

That would be extremely painful methinks

I have a job running a CNC lathe at a factory that produces rebar couplers and mechanical fittings; it's actually pretty enjoyable desu.

Definitely has a learning curve to it but it's not terribly difficult to start catching on and learning the basics of high-volume production machining

Mostly geometry (for calculating the positional values of the X, Y, and Z axis on the machine) fractions and decimals down to a hundred thousandths of an inch for +/- tolerances on the blueprints

CNC Programming language (G and M code specifically) is fairly simple to learn and understand

G code tells the machine tooling where to go around the X Y or Z axis planes

M code is for turning on or off specific command functions like changing tools, turning on parts coolant, shit like that

There's enough variety in the parts we make at work to keep it engaging but once in a while the shop gets a massive order and you'll be making the same shit all day every day for literal months on end and it can be a slow fuckin grind some days but it's not the worst thing in the world

if working in a factory paid 24+/hr I absolutely would. The choice between breaking my back at the crack of dawn at a construction site or sitting in a office having to cowtow to mid white/asian hr roasties is beyond depressing.

That doesn't sound so bad desu. I'm studying networking and it is literal hell. Constant learning 24/7, and with the jeets I will die before I get a middle class life.

I thought warehouses were full of feral retards who wont stop talking to you

I work in a 50/50 lab/office job, pretty comfy

"The service economy" is a fake concept. You can't have people be getting better off on average, while your whole economy is based on merely shuffling shit around instead of producing it. That's why living standards for average people here haven't kept up.

It's a mixed bag of felons and autists.

I'm bad at both manual labor and social interaction
a WFH job would be ideal but navigating the process to get one is beyond me so I'm a NEET

You should totally go apply as a CNC operator if there's any shops near wherever you live. I bet you'd do just fine considering you're already taking networking classes. That right there is a nice fuckin feather to have in your cap good sir

zoomers and women can work them just fine. nmp

industrial policy would be a good thing but trump's approach to it is retarded. unfortunately he surrounded himself with retarded people so we can't get the good version of protectionism that would result in strategically important stuff actually being made here at relatively little cost to consumption.

They don't speak English. Ironically Trump is going to fuck my golden goose when he deports all the Haitians.
