I work in childcare right so Im in charge at a daycare and I generally am responsible for the safety and wellbeing of small children. Not to mention I also am a former teacher and I have years of respite care for disabled children under my belt. As for the kids, I think a lot of that is socialization, and it's not a good thing. These kids don't spend a lot of time with their fathers, and when they do? The fathers are probably disciplining and punishing them. That's why they take it seriously when your male coworkers speak. Because they've come to associate father figures with fear and consequences.
