Let's try to keep a non-bait thread going

Will it survive?

Post the last piece of media you consumed / are currently consuming (anime, vidya, book, album...)

Give your thoughts about it so robots know if they should waste their time on it or avoid it

i am currently reading muh 48 laws of power
it has been an enjoyable read so far
i like how it uses historical anecdotes as examples

I was on AI Dungeon. You should avoid it, it's addictive

Currently reading Don Quixote and Les Liaisons Dangereuses. Both are better than what I expected. Don Quixote's pacing is better than most vidyas, books or anime. Also he's literally me. And I didn't think an epistolary novel like Les Liaisons Dangereuses (why do they even keep the same title as in French instead of translating it?) would be that interesting to read but the way it unfolds make every letter very interesting and it shows how wicked some people are and how pure people get corrupted by them.

I never used AI Dungeon but I know that with chatbots you usually get addicted to them for like a week, barely eating or sleeping, until you realize it's very stupid and keeps repeating the same thing so then you stop.

Pic rel. I'm forcing myself to finish the original Bleach because I ran out of kino anime to watch like 2 years and this is the only big shonen I haven't finished besides One Piece (I ain't ever watching that shit). Also I hear the Thousand Year Blood War is supposed to be hype as fuck and it's still completely unspoiled in my brain so I look forward to it.

Give your thoughts about it

Aged like shit. Like every mainstream shonen anime, you get like 1 cool moment for every 5 "oh it's another flashback episode" or "oh it's another training and soul-searching episode". I'm regularly skipping 5 minutes ahead at the beginning of every episode because the first 1.5 minutes is the opening theme and then the next 3 minutes is a recap of the previous episode or flashback shit. It's objectively not good writing and like 90% of characters besides the main cast are throwaway nobodies.

I still recommend watching it though because when the cool characters say "ban-kai" and cool stuff happens on the television I jump on my bed hooting and hollering while pointing at the screen like a gibbon.

48 laws of power

Lmao imagine reading self-help books. Couldn't be me. Honestly though, (current year) is so wretched I don't blame anyone for simply trying to feel better.

Talking to language learning models

Why? Silicon valley niggers are harvesting your data so they can do scary shit and/or make lots of money. Don't interact with such entities.

Don Quixote

I read like the first 50 pages of the book and then dropped it. I need to get the fuck off the computer before it makes me permanently retarded and start reading books again. I have the entire works of HP Lovecraft next to me and have only read like 2% of it.

It's pretty comfortable to run a 16B param Large Language Model locally on mid hardware

this is the only big shonen I haven't finished besides One Piece (I ain't ever watching that shit)

Wit Studio is remaking it apparently so there will be less episodes

Aged like shit. Like every mainstream shonen anime

That's why mangas are superior anon-kun

I watched picrel last night. I thought it was a great movie. Good acting across the board, not scary, but some scenes were pretty intense. My one complaint is that they should've fleshed out Jake Gyllenhaal's character a little more. No idea how accurate it is to history because I didn't know very much about the Zodiac going in, but I think I am going to see if the library has the book that it was adapted from to learn more.

Keep posting in my thread right hecking meow. I'll keep bumping it until it's the one with the most replies on this board (I will probably get bored of it before that).
It's a nice thread too. Nice to read, and nice to write in. Share you thoughts and interests. Other anons take pleasure in discovering new things. What's there to dislike?
Don't let the dark side win and interact with one that isn't solely about making you mad!!!

The Pantheon cartoon. It's both kind of smart and really fucking stupid at the same time. I can't give you a complete review because I haven't finished it yet and series like that have highs and downs based on how the plot progresses.

It's not the worst thread concept but the problem is that you'll get a bunch of people posting about their individual interests that most other posters won't connect much with, even if they like the media.
Like, I don't have anything to say to the Zodiac guy, even though I liked Zodiac as well.
Just constructive criticism for when you try again.

Yeah I get that but you'd think most robots would wanna share what they like with others. Even if people only interact with very specific posts. And you'd think others would enjoy learning about things they never heard about, and maybe would take an interest in them.
Like, in a perfect world, this thread has 200 of people sharing shit, and maybe less than 50 got an answer, because you really don't need more than that.
It's like when I asked robots to share their favorite piece of music of all time, it got like 50 updoots without me interacting once with the thread, and I got to listen to some nice songs

"Chronicles of the Retard - scroll two - Unbeatable"
It's a great book series in the popular "issekai" genre, with a realistic approach to being thrown into another world. The main character is a loser incel going through college. He goes to his chad friend's party, and ends up sitting alone in a corner, looking at women all flocking to his friend. He drinks heavily to cope and ends up stumbling home at night. Wandering into a park, he blacks out in the bushes, finding himself transported to anither world, alone, hungry and with nothing but his clothes and phone. He wanders the endless steppe, nearly died and finds a tribe of stone age hunters herding big bovine creatures, milking them in exchange for protection. The tribe people are all 6'6-7' tall blonde chads, they can run like elite athletes, see many miles across, smell everything, fight and kill any animals. For his small height and not knowing their language, they declare him a retard, and take him in to use a slave. Now named Retard, he gathers as cattle poop for firewood and does other humiliating menial tasks for seven years, being made fun of, beaten and abused. He tries to bring in technological innovation, but gets nearly beaten to death for suggesting a bow, as the tribe considers ranged weapons dishonourable, then again for forming clay into figures, as only the shaman is allowed to do so. I will not spoil the rest of the story, but it gets more exciting after.

This is a great two books for anyone tired of invincible issekai protagonists. He doesn't even get a wife - just an old fat whore he knocks up while giving her pity sex.

I am currently watching a commentated all bosses Dark Souls 1 run before having a drink while playing Helldivers with a friend.

And you'd think others would enjoy learning about things they never heard about, and maybe would take an interest in them.

Well I'll give you that one, that's feasible and a positive outcome.

I have 2 episodes left of The Young Pope. I thought this was going to an anti-Christian show about a Pope who doesn't give a fuck. But it turns out that it's actually about a trad homophic Chud Pope who performs miracles and is ready to use everything he can to get what he wants, and is hated by every cardinal for actually wanting to clean house. It's pretty good, very sigma. Only problem is the subplot about him having doubts in God's existence when he LITERALLY PERFORMS MIRACLES.
Anyway, apparently season 2 is shit so I won't watch it but I am having great fun with it.

Pity bumping

have a bump and a hug OP, no homo

Russians taking a concept that is supposed to uplift you and making it depressing is undefeated to this day

Thank you full homo

Eighty Six light novel, it's about child soldiers fighting against skynet in a distant post-apocalyptic future.

It's got cringe romance stuff in it and it's a bit of a power fantasy with the plot armor but i can't stop reading it

Journey to the West (the Jenner translation)

>Give your thoughts about it so robots know if they should waste their time on it or avoid it

It is quite kino if I do say so myself. It feels like a blueprint to every shonen anime ever made, and it's fun to go to wikipedia articles for all the characters and read all the lore behind them. It's just really long and repetitive so I'm taking my time with it. The story is broken up into episodes and each episode kind of plays out the same way so you can just read a few and move onto something else for a while before coming back.

I think it's interesting that with most of the bad bait threads that if you engage them with serious intent they just stop posting usually. Even bots would keep going but it seems the moment you make a counter narrative that's more deep than a puddle they just stop or even delete posts.

I wouldn't know because I avoid them like the plague thoughever

This, There are also a suprising amount of active duty kids on here that either say things that makes it known or they take pictures of them selves in recognizable areas.

Obviously if their commands found out they were on this site they would get a mudhole pounded into their asses so i like to make it known that i know they are in the military and they immediately delete their post lol

It feels like a blueprint to every shonen anime ever made

Had the same thought when reading Musashi. The beginning was kino but then it just became shonen. Still fun though

It's "isekai" with one "s". Also you should clean your fingernail before posting, it's very uncouth. Seems pretty interesting otherwise

I got done watching The Gray Man so now I can post in the thread
I thought it was a good movie. The action scenes were well done. Not much else to say, another Ryan Gosling classic.

I'm going to break the tradition here a little bit.
I've just watched this video :
youtube.com/watch?v=ugiJyv7T_mk
The guy seems like a schizo at first (especially with the shitty thumbnails and background images) but he looks at phenomena both through an oculltic view and a psychological one.
I don't really 'watch' his videos, I just put them in background when I play minecraft and they're 10/10

The book gets more upbeat later. Well, it is still grim and realistic, especially about large battles, but the protagonist gains some political power by becoming a shaman(he is still cucked all the time at least does something about it). And the whole point of depressing russian literature is anti-escapism, preventing you from becoming detached from the real world by showing how much everything and anything would suck, forcing you to confront reality headfirst and overcome it.

I don't do hygiene. It's a scam. When my fingernails grow too big(now is not big enough) I bite them off.

Yes this is why i like russian literature more better, I also like to capture this aspect in my own writing

This is the average vocaroo poster

Saving this thread from the abyss

I also haven't showered in months. And don't brush my teeth, ever.

AI Dungeon

Wow. I haven't heard shit about it since The Incident some years back. It was often pure insanity. MoonMoon's and Vinesauce Vinny's AI Dungeon streams were KINO.

I'm never listening to a single one of your vocaroos ever again.

Despite being a young teenager's book, I'm enjoying the Watchers series at 39. I am reading them out of order though. I just finished Lab 6, and flat out hated it though. Rewind was pretty good, along with War. Last Stop was not really that good though. Now I just got I.D. and Island to finish off the series.

I only posted one so far.

Well I'm still never listening to another one ever again. I don't want to know what you were doing with that water bottle too. I can only imagine the color of the rim.

? What water bottle? I only posted a vocaroo about doing a mass shooting. Was someone using my nickname to discredit me?

teen books are good. maybe check out cirque du freak i think its spelled that way. its about a paranormal traveling circus or something

Weren't you screaming in a water bottle? Is your mic quality that shit?

I recorded the "take a gun" speech in my bathroom. No water bottle involved.

So you go to the bathroom huh? I'm impressed

Currently watching Last Exile
It's been ages since I've been this enamored with a show. I like all the characters and the setting is so unique.

It's that "wild skies" sort of thing, like Porco Rosso in a way but less quaint and more war

Only in the city. I am currently in my family's countryside home and here, I simply spray wherever I can, usually straight out the front door.

Alright man you can stop with the details I'm in the middle of a gooning sesh I don't want to develop anything weird

I hope your penis stops working. You're disgusting.

Finished Turn A Gundam yesterday. Pretty okay show, I think it's heavily overrated by the Gundam fanbase however and I find Victory Gundam to be a better show overall.

How the fuck am I the disgusting one here? I'm not gooning because of the disgusting shit you're telling me. Stop making it weird, you're making it all weird right now why are you doing this? I didn't need to know you were spraying it out the front door. Nobody did

I never even heard of this anime before

You madturbate by browsing Anon Babble and complimenting people for going to the bathroom. You are in the wrong here.

madturbate

That sounds awesome. We really need to start madturbating more often.

I don't goon WHILE browsing Anon Babble. I do it then stop when I see I received a (You)

In that case I apologise for my misconceptions. Would you mind sharing the knowledge on how to turn such a function on?

It's Range Murata's best work, imo
They had it on TV in my country when I was a kid (dubbed) but it was so rare for me to catch an episode, glad t watch it now.
It's pretty old now, it's from over 20 years ago.

last_exile.jpg - 3462x2496, 1.3M

I just put my Anon Babble window on my second monitor when I'm on fullscreen so I can see when the red exclamation mark appears. Otherwise the two windows are next to each other.

I see, well it certainly piqued my interest so I'll check it out myself
