I wouldn't say everything but it makes up a large percentage, people overestimate the value of IQ in everyday life when really you just need to be about 125 to excel in every conceivable domain, any more than that and you're just encumbered by the astonishing weight of disproportionately vibrant consciousness, being tall as a man for instance can compensate for a lot of mental shortcomings so if you're like 6'4" and 120 IQ you'd have the same aggregate value as someone who's 5'10" with 125 and so on, also not being overweight helps which is kind of obnoxious to have to mention but apparently the status quo in America is medically overweight/obese so if you're healthy you already have an advantage. As a sidenote industriousness is as important if not more important than IQ when it comes to overall life success and well-being so having to try is almost a superpower if you're inclined to try hard all the time naturally

I tested into a gifted kids program in elementary school so my IQ is probably at least 130 and I have no intention of getting retested to see just how stupid I've become over time, however everything in life has come pretty easily to me so I suppose it hasn't gone down that much despite the copious amount of drinking that took place over COVID

You see the problem with OP's framework here is that it's a self disabling framework. It may be true that intelligence is everything and having to try means you're worse off. However it's absolutely true that people believe have what's called a fixed mindset. Compared to growth mindset people who focused on improvement they get much worse results. There is a sort of paradox here though in that people with high IQ probably don't have to try to think of excuses for their failure. However OP had to try very hard to find a reason why his failure is beyond his means.
