I mean the concrete example doesn't matter that much as the point is, that the difference between the old hardware and the "current" hardware is insane as far as the productivity goes, meanwhile, even "current" mainstream hardware isn't enough to really get the max out of your system.
You can't even properly and efficiently train an LLM without a data center, or even interfere to narrow and adjust. I mean one could, but who would wait for weeks and years?
