Yeah sometimes I will undertake vehicles, if the vehicles are going very slowly. I could overtake I suppose but then I'd need to check there's nothing else overtaking which could hit me (like a motorbike or another car).

I assume the vehicle wasn't meant to make that manoeuvre. I dunno what the road markings are, but presumably the van was breaking the rules, if Jeremy protested so much.
If I was the cyclist in that situation, I might swear at the driver, and then I'd just cycle on. Which I think would be pretty reasonable. Most cyclists are just trying to get to their destination, just like drivers.

Personally I use zram, a Linux module which compresses stuff in RAM, but I guess it only works well if your CPU is relatively quick, because compressing/decompressing uses the CPU. If you have an old and slow 32-bit CPU then zram might be quite slow.
