Tfw 5'10 manlet
Tfw 5'10 manlet
i already put 6'4 in my bio and pics exist
why need a filter?
Are you ai or a glowie shill? We had this thread like 5x in the last 2 days with exact same pic even.
Surely this will end well.
It'd be based if they included weight filter for men to use too, but we all know they're simps and don't want to insult their golden goose(women)
They should even the playing field and add a weight filter too so guys don't have to be matched with meat planets
Isn't the gender ratio like 10 to 1? And women don't pay for premium or plus or whatever because they don't need it
Who is gonna keep paying for the app when they get 0 matches?
5'10 is a good height date me now
Simps, the answer will always be simps, they pay thousands for only fan
Are you a cute skinny fembot?
date me now
Are you biologically female?
5'10 manlet
uh oh I'm 5'2
Hands off, chud, she is mine
no no yes
yes
did u not eat
That's the point. The majority of users are man, and women are the bait. If they insult their female fanbase and make them stop using the app, men who pay will also stop using
Who is gonna keep paying for the app when they get 0 matches?
That's already the norm. Men that pay for tinder are like gambling addicts, they know it won't succeed but the hope never completely dies and they think if they swipe every day maybe they'll get lucky one time
yes
Good enough for me, what's your discord?
moi.je.joue
i stand with you brother. 5'5.
i just go to work and do that. live life elsewhere.
it's funny to sip water and watch the shitshow women will create for themselves though
I do but it doesn't help
godspeed you two
She is fat and ugly, you can have her
Standing is an overstatement
The Chad filter.
Your only hope is becoming a tranny for real men
And normies fry me for being an incel dfkm
Reminder match group is bleeding money, missed goals, and is firing people. They want you to desperately pay for their shit to save themselves from irrelevancy.
No you for you corpo trash
Does this mean that they're too successful and finding you a spouse? Also what do they spend that money for, it's not like the service is very expensive to run
kek foid take. It means they're doing a shit job and they want their service to fail you. If you find a wife, then you don't need their shitty app. Cope :)
Building a business model that makes a majority of the serious users feel like shit isn't great. I'm not an incel, but tinder is and always has been garbage. I know they have a whole portfolio of apps and websites, but feel there's more competition now from more innovative apps and people date online in other platform(IG, discord even)
it's not like the service is very expensive to run
You'd be surprised how much running an app with so many users can be, especially when most people don't pay a penny. Tech is cheap to launch, expensive when it's grown huge.
And women don't pay for premium or plus or whatever because they don't need it
the height filter is only available for one of the paid levels.
this means tinder isn't getting the money they used to out of men, and now have to try and get women to pay. this means they're failing. manlets won.
Everyone is losing
sure, I recognize that tinder achieved its ultimate goal of driving a wedge between men and women, commodifying mate selection, turning human beings into just a few pictures ready to be swiped on, and fueling intersexual animosity, but if the dating app business model fails we can potentially start repairing the damage that was done.
If I were to guess why they're doing it, it's probably multifaceted:
1. They want to increase the number of women using the app. As it stands, the userbase is mostly male. So this could potentially increase the amount of overall users.
2. They want to attract more very attractive men to the platform. The kind that get thousands upon thousands of matches. By introducing a height filter, it will increase the amount of matches for men who are tall, because it funnels women into their direction, many of which could very likely feel attracted to men who aren't as tall as the cut off they set in the filter. More very attractive men means potentially more women as well.
3. If the ratio of women and men using the app becomes more even, it could be used as a marketing tactic to attract more male users, further increasing the size of the userbase. Also, the male portion of the userbase that barely gets any matches, which is the majority of the male userbase, is THE target demographic that Tinder and other dating apps make their money on, by peddling algorithm placement boosters to them. Women and attractive men don't buy those, because they already have plenty of matches, and the apps themselves are free. Making matches harder to come by for a larger portion of the male userbase plus increasing the size of the male userbase could potentially increase the profits.
Just use grindr, it's easier to get a date there anyway
below
What about above their preferred height?
I'm too tall at 6'5" :(
I'm 6'5 and only date Asians and have never been told I'm too tall.
This is pointless because desperate men will simply start lying about their height.
Asians are already used to looking up at white boys, another few inches isn't going to change that.
You wrote a very good summary anon, but the kind of men who sign up for Tinder aren't smart enough to understand it. They might read it, feel demoralized, then would go back to desperately messaging women on tinder anyway because desperation for sex is their entire personality.
This is actually a good thing assuming you just won't see women who are filtering against your height and I don't see any reason why you wouldn't. It means you are far more likely to match with women you see. This might actually make dating apps significantly more usable.
You're making an incorrect assumption, that people have perfect insight into what their physical attraction deal-breakers are, and that they would set the filters accordingly. Plenty of the women who would set the filter to e.g. 6'0"+ (because let's say that they see it as a desirable sign of status), would in fact be entirely capable of feeling attracted to men who are shorter than 6'0". And you could still match with them and potentially have sex or a relationship, if the filter wasn't there. But now your dating pool will be effectively reduced.
While that's theoretically possible, I still think it will be better for the most part. It seems much easier to convince a woman to date you if she's already aware of her own attractions and is okay with dating you. It will probably also filter out the worst of the FDS types. I see it as overwhelmingly decreasing the amount of time wasted.
