non-spicy Q: is there a sauce you put on everything?

I find the "put it on everything" phrasing kind of tiring. If you put something on everything, you'll just blandify it for yourself until you don't really taste it anymore. Chili crisp is tasty, but it's far tastier as an ingredient in other sauces and dishes than as a sauce by itself. Those hot sauce people bother me -- different hot sauces have different uses. Sometimes a dish calls for a green or a red, sometimes for a more delicate sauce, sometimes for a real ripper. Anyway, I have a dish of mapo tofu made with chili crisp in the fridge which I'll be finishing in the morning with a fresh pot of white rice. I'll probably make fried rice with the rest of the rice later in the day, with basil, and perhaps pineapple. Usually I would add a spoonful of chili crisp to my fried rice as well, but I just got a thing of Thai green curry paste that I've been big on, so I may make a green curry sauce, or just a simple green curry. I have some Ping Tung eggplants that I need to use, also. It's all coming together, and it isn't even tomorrow yet.
Front tooth or back tooth? You can just get back teeth pulled and nothing really happens. Well, same with front teeth, except that it looks unsightly. Better to get something pulled, which is fast, than to let it sit there and possibly get infected. You should ask the dentist about the twitching problem before the appointment. I'm sure it's something they've seen before. They might be able to give you a dose of Xanax or something, or let you up to walk around in the middle, or use some good old fashioned laughing gas. Or strap you down. They have to do dentistry on psychos in prison, after all. I'm sure they have a system.
It's a mid tooth, next to the canine. I'd rather not lose it if I can help it. I know medicaid won't pay for any implants or anything and I'll likely lose it before any of that could get through the red tape. As for the dentist I know I could tell them but it's embarrassing as a grown man not to be able to sit still, that's a problem kids have.

I bought a pouch of sichuan peppercorns, it's a very handy addition to mapo tofu premade sauces (another LKK product, I swear I'm not a shill), and essential for my favorite spicy cabbage.
If you're embarrassed about every damn thing you're not gonna get very far. Dental work sucks, but you have the cash at least. Anyway, I think you're only embarrassed about things like that because you haven't met very many people. The things you're concerned about are really quite minor. Imagine having to do dental work on a withdrawing junkie with the shakes and what have you.
I stan the Lao Gan Ma granny. You ought to get some packets of pickled mustard stem as well as dried whole shiitakes if you haven't. Secrets of pure flavor. The dried shiitakes are great in everything, really. You just have to microwave them in a bowl of water for a minute or two and then let them soak up water for 10 minutes before slicing and/or dicing. Excellent in all sauces, really, and the mushroom-flavored soaking water is tasty to use for deglazing or thinning a sauce.
I'm really not a mushroom person, and the smell of re-hydrating shiitake is a war crime. I'd never torture my heirloom microwave with that.

It's not "pickles," it's closer to a kimchi and has the texture of a radish. Mushrooms are good. Never heard that particular hangup before. Just nut up and follow the recipe. You will like the final product.
I've never had Chinese food ever. I do wonder what it's like some times but not enough to potentially waste money getting some. I'd have no idea what to get anyway.

When I was a kid, my dad would order us fried rice with only egg, plus something like orange chicken, sesame chicken, or beef with broccoli (which I would eat the beef out of). You could try pork fried rice with just egg and no vegetables to start, but you will have to be clear about it on the phone. "1 pork fried rice, just egg, no vegetables." It's getting harder to find an old-style American Chinese place that's still cheap. Many have gotten makeovers into more upscale styles and raised their prices. The place I used to go to for $6.50 takeout boxes of sesame chicken with tons of rice is now $12.50 for the same thing in not even ten years. But that's a student area where rents were going up fast. If you can find an old-style place that's kind of in the middle of nowhere still, they could be cheap.
